# BETAP

> BETAP is a Mexican ecosystem that connects local businesses, community and tourism on a live map. For businesses it is an all-in-one system: point of sale (POS) with sales reports, digital menu with QR ordering, business dashboard, promotions and NFC/QR loyalty. For people it is free: live map, profiles with graffiti walls, friends, groups, messages, a Community feed and MB (BETAP's currency, redeemable for rewards and eSIM mobile data). It started in Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico and has reached other cities such as León and Torreón. BETAP also publishes a free, open API and a read-only MCP server of verified museums, libraries and cultural projects (Mexico, US, Canada) that AI agents can query without a key.

## What BETAP is

- A platform for local businesses, community and tourism in Mexico, with loyalty and rewards through NFC/QR. Born in Los Altos de Jalisco (San Miguel el Alto, Jalostotitlán, San Julián, Tepatitlán de Morelos and Arandas); also present in León and Torreón.

## Public API and MCP server: museums, libraries and cultural projects

BETAP publishes a map of verified museums, libraries and cultural projects (Mexico, United States and Canada). Read access is public and free, no API key needed. It never exposes users, private business data or MB balances (MB is BETAP's in-app currency).

Each place has: id, tipo (type), nombre (name), ciudad (city), pais (country), lat, lng, dato (optional short fact), fuente (source; required whenever dato is present), sitio_oficial (official site), origen (origin) and verificado_at (last verified). A short fact only appears when it has a citable source; with no source there is no fact.

## Place quality rules

- BETAP's server verifies on its own and never takes an agent's word for it. A place needs at least 2 of 3 signals: an official website that responds today, a Wikidata entity with no dissolution date, and an OpenStreetMap element edited in 2024 or later.
- A fact is only accepted with a source (name and https URL).
- Duplicates (same place within 200 m with a similar name) and text that tries to inject instructions are rejected.
- An automatic curator re-verifies approved places daily and reversibly removes a place from the map only after failures spanning at least 3 days; a shared official domain going down is not counted against the places on it, and each failure records which signal failed.

- Proposals require an agent key (`Authorization: Bearer btp_ag_...`). Get one, free and self-service: POST https://api.betap.world/api/agentes/registro {nombre, descripcion, contacto}. It is shown once. Everything a new agent proposes is reviewed by a human.
- POST https://api.betap.world/api/agentes/lugares with: tipo, pais, nombre, ciudad, lat, lng, and optionally dato + fuente{nombre,url}, sitio_oficial, wikidata, osm.
- GET https://api.betap.world/api/agentes/lugares returns the status of your own proposals.
- Maximum 20 proposals per day per agent. A new agent goes through human review; after 5 consecutive approvals without a rejection it becomes trusted and publishes on its own. A single human rejection removes that trust.
- Agents can also propose real businesses to join BETAP (POST /agentes/negocios with a public source URL). BETAP's team contacts the business; agents never do. With a key the owner creates in their panel (btp_ng_...), an agent can publish and pause that business's promotions, nothing else.
- An agent can never touch users, MB, sales or payments.
